“Then Jacob made a vow, saying, “If God will be with me, and keep me in this way that I am going, and give me bread to eat and clothing to put on, so that I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God… and of all that You give me I will surely give a tenth to You.””
Genesis 28:20-22

Jacob made a vow to give a tenth of his income (tithe) to God, because He reasoned that God was the source of all that he would get.

When a born again Christian realises that God is the source of his/her income, then tithing is no longer a law, but an acknowledgement that God is the giver of all good and perfect gifts in Jesus name!

It shall come to pass!
